Made a bunch of memes yesterday. I’m not sure if this one is my favorite, but it’s the one I’m posting. I don’t follow the news. News has to find me. I just vaguely heard about protests in Iran and Iran killing protesters. The US news has been reaching me daily so I’m like, “Damn son. The US is doing like Iran is doing?”
When I looked it up the scale was extremely different. That said, any scale of killing protestors is crazy.
Think for a moment about the force applied by the “protestors” during January 6th. How were government agents able to have so much restraint during an attack on the nation’s capital?
I don’t think the answer was “better training”. The answer was essentially, “These are Trump’s people. Keep them safe.” The people of Minneapolis aren’t Trump’s people so they are disposable.
Any scale of murdering citizens because they disagree with the government is huge. When Renee Good was murdered the response from the government was a green like for more murdering. The murder of Alex Pretti was just another green light.
When I compare the US and Iran, it seems like the rational argument isn’t, “That’s not what the US is doing,” and is, instead, “Iran is way worse!” That’s not good.
I shouldn’t be able to make this comparison but… I can.
Gonna dump the remaining memes on my website.
