Hi, I’m Casey. It’s nice to meet you.

You’ve caught me at a crossroads. I’ve spent the entirety of my adult life living as, my alter ego, miltownkid (miltownkid Google search). I’ll write a more in depth post about miltownkid later and update this intro.

I’ve been digitally chronicling the adventures of miltownkid since 2003. What started as a phpBB forum for friends in the US when I was living in Taiwan (note the “MAD html skillz”), evolved into miltownkid.com in 2005 (note the “MAD photoshop skillz”) and eventually evolved into an addiction to every new social technology of the time, most notably YouTube (here’s my 2 million view viral sensation, language NSFW).

If an alter ego is a second self, my first self recently decided to emerge and force “the kid” to grow up. It started with letting the miltownkid.com domain expire after 10 years (RIP) and now, slowly, getting “the kid” out of my system (well… at least out of the driver’s seat).

I’m going to stick to what I know and keep chronicling things. It’s something I love to do. It lets me know where I’ve been, where I am and where I’m going.

Right now I’m:

• working on establishing a career in web development to leverage my decade of digital shenanigans
• building a “masterless” martial arts system (that I am the master of… lol)
• becoming a “hyper” minimalist
• beginning my path to yoga mastery
• mastering daily routines

AND, most importantly…

• attempting to form a life partnership with this one

I’m just going to unleash my “blogging beast” and let my fingers fly to whatever topical realm pleases them (there are many).
